ABM or Accountancy,Business and Management is a strand that focuses on the basic concepts of financial management,business management,corporate operations and all things that are accounted for. This strand best suits students who want to become a business entreprenuer and also those who want to manage a company. Compared to ABM, GAS or General Academic Strand is not a career-specific strand. GAS is the strand that let students learn and experience something from all the other strands, that’s why this strand best suits the students who can’t really decide on which strand to take. to your career, especially on management and accounting. While in General Academic Strand(GAS), it can help you to somehow learn something from different strands, which can give you idea or what career you want to pursue.
This two strands has its similarities and differences. ABM and GAS are both senior high school strands that help the students be ready for college. These two strands help the student learn their needed skills to gain employment even without a college degree, not only this two strand but also all the senior high school track. ABM is a career-specific strand while GAS is not. ABM deals with its specific and specialized subjects that enhance the students skills in accounting and managing. GAS deals with its general subjects, it tackles some subjects in every strand in senior high school that helps them to widen their mind in all of the academic track.
As I have said earlier, ABM and GAS are both offered in Liceo de Los Baños. In Liceo de Los Baños, they give quality education in both of this strands for their student to be able to learn the skills they need. The school let their students, from both ABM and GAS, attend immersions, seminars etc. that are necessary to them.
